How to Play

  • Draw roads by clicking/dragging on the grid. Vehicles will automatically spawn and drive along connected roads.
  • Place buildings to block and reflect sound waves, creating quiet zones behind them.
  • Place barriers (noise walls) for targeted sound dampening along roads.
  • Drop a listener to measure the perceived Doppler-shifted sound at a specific point.
  • Vehicles produce sound that radiates outward. Moving vehicles exhibit the Doppler effect - higher pitch approaching, lower pitch receding.
  • Sound reflects off buildings and barriers, creating echoes in urban canyons.
  • Goal: design a city layout that keeps residential areas quiet while managing traffic flow.
